Using just Mendeley is absolutely misleading. many researchers left it the day after Elsevier acquisition There are lots of other academic social networks to be taken into account.

The use of Mendeley is misleading as it is not the only academic social network. Moreover, coupling it with Scopus results in a sort of "endogamic" indicator referring just to the Elsevier sphere.
