Roadmap for standardization on AHA facing 2020

One of the actions carried out by the PROEIPAHA project supporting the activities of EIP on AHA is the development of a Roadmap for Standardization on AHA facing 2020, which has been drafted after completing the following stages:

i) Mapping the standardization landscape in AHA (see https://ec.europa.eu/eip/ageing/standards_en ).
ii) Analysis of standardization options and requirements.
iii) Discussion on a 1st roadmap proposal at an interactive workshop that took place on 2016-10-13 in Brussels.
This online commentable version shows the standardization proposals on Active and Healthy Aging (AHA) identified in the investigation, as well as its suggested prioritization. The third and final draft of the Roadmap for Standardization on AHA facing 2020 will be the outcome of the inclusion of the relevant comments received at this online commenting stage by 2016-12-08.
The standardization proposals identified at the previous stages of this project have been classified in broad subjects, subsequently subdivided. The main branches proposed are:
- General
- e-Health
- Care and healthcare
- Independent living and age-friendly environments
The main document of this research provides structured data of each proposal, considering aspects like the relation with EC policies, the ongoing standardization works, or the organizations involved/to be involved, considering the European Standardization Organizations (CEN/CENELEC/ETSI), the International Standardization Organizations (ISO/IEC/ISO) and other Standard Developing Organizations.
Between 2016-10-04 and 2016-10-09 the Action Groups representatives who participated in the previous stage i.e., EIP on AHA Action Groups Promoters and Coordinators, were invited to rank (1 to 5) the priority of each of the 39 standardization proposals identified, via an online survey. However, only three persons participated in the survey. Therefore, the result of this survey was considered as a tool to check the direction of travel, but could not be used to determine the priorities. Due to this, the initial prioritization shown in the first draft of the roadmap proposal was determined by AENOR, taking into account the feedback of the initial online survey on prioritizations, as well as the main European policies and the logic of the standardization development, only as a base for the debate on this point at an Interactive Workshop that took place on 2016-10-13 in Brussels. The suggested Roadmap for standardization in AHA was presented and submitted to discussion and debate at the Workshop.
In order to re-check the prioritizations determined, this online commenting document will be complemented with an online survey (link: https://goo.gl/forms/QHqBa1lTwLCNxure2 ) on the prioritization of the different proposals identified, which will close by 2016-12-08.
With the aim of shaping the roadmap for standardization on AHA facing 2020, the following classification and timing for the launching of the proposals is suggested:

***** Very high priority proposals To be launched between January and June 2017
**** High priority proposals To be launched between July and December 2017
*** Medium priority proposals To be launched between January and June 2018
** Low priority proposals To be launched between July and December 2018
* Very low priority proposals To be launched in 2019

Please, contribute to this list of AHA standardization proposal and its initial prioritization online commenting them by 2016-12-08.
